Have you ever played the After Eight game?  It may leave a sticky mess down your face but if you’re lucky someone saucy may lick it off!

Yeah we know it’s Easter, but would you rather be stuffing your faces with chocolate at home with your family or having an AMAZING four day weekend in London?

Come join us on Saturday 3rd April 2010 for National Fancy Dress Day! Come dressed as the embodiment of 2009, whether that’s your best costume from last year (which was 2009) or someone or something famous in the last twelve months – Michael Jackson’s death, Disney buying Marvel comics or Avatar.  Come as anything from last year, we always need a small herd of Lady Gaga’s.

Club De Fromage in Islington have agreed that in honour of the sacred National Fancy Dress Day, all people who turn up and whisper the secret password into the ear of Tony Bellini or Slow Alfie will have their entrance fee donated to a fabulous charity – the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

It’s only £6 to get into the Club De Fromage for a ripper of a night out dressed up to party.  All you have to do is remember to say the special password when you pay to do a good deed.  Please don’t get too p*ssed and forget!

The secret password is “hunny bunny” – yell it into the hairy earlobe of the doorstaff.

We’re meeting up in The Angel for some cheap Wetherspoons love and last minute make-up before we head to the Academy IN FORCE. We’ll be at the back of the pub from 7.30pm onwards.

Woohoo! Our favourite un-organised Santa Claus Convention is happening very soon. This makes us happy, especially when we think of all the mince pies, mulled wine and sprouts that are part of the course.

Saturday 12th September, Central London:

Santa meets at 12 midday at the Ice Wharf weatherspoons in Camden

We’re not going to the early bird screening of Fred Claus, but if you want to go, it’s for the early bird film Santas meet at 10.30am at Prince Charles Cinema, Leicester Square.

Expect at least one tube ride, so make sure you have a zone 1-2 travelcard for the day.

Yes you can, it’s very easy! So easy in fact Bring Stuff has started a Santa Grotto this year with a few fun things for santa to do (with the main groups) before the big parties in the evening.

You should be now wanting the details, here they are:

1) Get a santa suit.

These sweet babies can be gotten from any pound shop – and depending on how you look at it, the more you spend the less likely you are to break it.

2) If you want to be a fancy santa, theme your Santa suit and name yourself. Like Disco Santa, Gay Santa or Santa’s little Helper…

3) Find chrismassy items to adorn your costume

Anything red and white tends to work, but if you’re theming yourself, adding nick-nacks will make people want to have their photo taken with you!

4) Prepare little gifts to give to people. These can be santa hug vouchers, sweets or chestnuts.

5) Saturday 12th December, head into Central London and follow the red and white wave!

Woolworths used to be a good bet for Christmas stuff, but these days pound shops also have an unusualy good range of knick-knacks. I found myself a santa-themed bottle holder that fitted my Port quite nicely.

Every year, the Santa elders proclaim a lot of love for our little friends the Elves. Most years, the Elves get picked on with chanting and sprout throwing. It’s your choice to Elf it up, you’ll be welcomed by us, but I don’t fancy your chances on the mean streets of London. Also best to avoid dressing as a tree, they often get mistaken for Elves.

Costumes should be pirate based, with good pirates, hairy pirates or better yet sexeh pirates. The Tattershall Castle is a floating pub with five bars, nightclub and yer basic pirate food; fish and chips. The perfect place for Pirating London! With indoor and outdoor refreshments whether it’s a choppy garn or a milkpond, they sell Rum so who cares.

With dubloons to be found, advanced Pirating classes (including pronounciation and Pirating history) and sea shanties to be sung, it’s going to be great grand! No promises though, we be lazy pirates!

Closest tube is Embankment, exit onto the Thames and head right under the Hungerford Bridge. The Tattershall Castle is the SECOND floating pub after the bridge.

Team Nice and Bring Stuff invite you to a very special fancy dress party for London; a hats and wigs party!

With very special guests KaraUke too!

For the more culturally astute; an evening of large perukes and fine millinary. With a live ukulele Karaoke band called KaraUke as an interactive musical extravaganza, prepare to have your mind blown away.

Bring Aunt Mables beret, a home-made easter bonnet, Pippi Longstocking pig-tails or even a massive ‘fro… anything that can be worn on the head goes. If you want to come in full costume too, we’re very happy with that too!

We’ve got the basement all to ourselves at The O Bar in soho, and it won’t cost you a penny to get in before 10pm either.

Bring Hats. Bring Wigs. You could even bring tashes if you felt like it too, but we may have some kicking around. Most importantly bring a DIGITAL CAMERA and a sense of humour! We will have a few games to play, one of them involves taking snaps, so please bring a camera.

Team Nice are back, spreading niceness across London and the World. They do this by Niceties Tokens, which will be given out willy nilly all night.

It’s Bring Stuffs second unofficial birthday, kind of, as a special treat the amazing KaraUke will be performing.

Imagine a Karaoke machine thats filled with tiny people playing teeny-weeny guitars of pop hits that you can sing along to… You’ve got it!

“I ain’t afraid of no goat!” It’s time for another joint party with the Celebrity Murder Party and the Harlots – and we’re going Back To The Eighties: A Return to the Big Screen Party Scene. You have to come as a character from an 80′s movie, “its a little childish and stupid, but then again, so is high-school”.

Whether you remember the eighties from popcorn and big gulp moments at the flicks to repeated low quality screenings on ITV 2; movies of the Eighties defined our lives and sometimes taught us that the quality of Steve Gutenburgs acting could even be surpassed by a robot.  “Johnny Five… is alive!”, a shame that Steve’s career isn’t.

When you get passed the initial shock, there’s quite a few inspriational films that provide a rich tapestry of choice.  Whether Mr Miagee’s tutelidge, Top Guns flight suits or Footloose legwarmers tickle your turnip, there’s something for everyone over at IMDB.com

Buy a ticket to our private soiree and the ticket itself will have the directions for the meeting point. On the evening we all meet up in a very public place. You get a free shot of something fruity and a little bit saucy and then we guide you to the private and SECRET LOCATION of the party!

“You know, there’s going to be sex, drugs, rock-n-roll… chips, dips, chains, whips… You know, your basic high school orgy type of thing. I mean, uh, I’m not talking candlewax on the nipples, or witchcraft or anything like that, no, no, no. Just a couple of hundred kids running around in their underwear, acting like complete animals.”

Money raised from this event goes to a smashing charity called Camp Cando, providing a summer camp experience for young people with special needs. As we like to point out, you’re raising money for charity by partying hard dressed like a wally and chugging brews – everyone is a winner!

We are Londoners, embrace the Londoness!

For the next London based Bring Stuff fancy dress party, we want you to come dressed as a visual interpretation of a tube station – a blacksmith with a large hammer for Hammersmith, a manchester clown for Piccadilly Circus or James Bond for Bond Street etc.

Probably the best theme in the world, it’s a London Underground Fancy Dress party with over 260 stations and costumes to choose from.

I think you get the idea, so be as creative as you can, with one exception. NO ANGEL COSTUMES – Angel Islington is off limits as it would be rubbish if everyone turned up in the same costume.  Seriously though, Angel Islington isn’t really closed.

It’s the end of January, you’ve had enough time to detox and break those resolutions. Kick those blues and come and get trollied with us whilst dressed as an impeccable vision of a tube station, oh yes there will be dancing in the basement of the bar too if you’re hardcore enough.
